ABOUT THE TW SOAPBOX RACE
We are pleased to announce the Tunbridge Wells Soapbox Stars Race is returning to Tunbridge Wells in 2024 even bigger, better and more exhilarating than before!
The one of a kind soapbox kart race raises a serious amount of cash for local charities while bringing together businesses and community groups for a hilarious family fun day out in the heart of the town. To date, the event has helped raise more than £100,000 for a range of charities!
The Tunbridge Wells Soapbox Stars Race continues to support the Hospice in The Weald whilst individual karts will be racing and raising money for charities and causes of their choosing.
All teams taking part in the Tunbridge Wells Soapbox Stars race are invited to choose a charity of their choice to fundraiser for on the day. The Tunbridge Wells Soapbox Stars founder Coco is donating 5 karts to 5 different charities this year to race and raise as much as they can! Watch out for these chosen charity pages to pop up on here over the coming days and see how you can support them!
TW Soapbox Stars will also be donating 2 more karts to charities to race as part of their Headline Sponsor packages - look out for who the two headlines are for 2024!
We will also be giving a kart and percentage of all profits to the much loved regularly supported charity Hospice in the Weald - the driving charity behind this highly popular event.
In total, 32 Hand-built soapbox karts, sponsored, manned and expertly 'pimped up' by each team, will go head to head in this high-octane and sometimes chaotic time trial on a specially designed downhill race track in the picturesque park.
Once again our fabulous hosts the legendary TV Chef Rosemary Shrager and the local celebrity superstar, Tom Swift will be commentating to the thousands of spectators which are again expected to turn out to support friends, foes, business associates and rivals in the race of the year!

The Tunbridge Wells Soapbox Stars Race is an annual race for amateur teams from a range of businesses, organisations and individuals.
We provide basic karts for the race, with each team allowed to individualise their karts in any way they choose to make them stand out from the crowd! The wackier the better!
